Is It Safe To Use Olive Oil As A Face Wash?
Did you ever look at what goes into your regular face cleanser? I bet you can’t even pronounce half of the harsh chemicals in the face wash you use daily, if not more often than that. Is this something you want to be subjecting your skin to every day? Maybe not, but probably not.
We no longer use chemical-laden face cleansers since our mother taught us about the benefits of Extra Virgin Olive Oil [EVOO] for our skin. The high antioxidant content of EVOO explains why it has natural anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, and anti-aging effects. Acne, psoriasis, eczema, and diaper rash can be effectively treated with vitamins A, D, K, and E because these vitamins shield against the free radicals that cause cell oxidation. Squalene is also present in extra virgin olive oil. Improved skin suppleness, less appearance of age spots, and increased cell regeneration and oxygenation are all benefits. Our skin stays soft and young because to this.
This should be done once day, ideally before going to sleep.
What You’ll Need for an Olive Oil Face Wash
Olive-Oil-Rich Washcloth
Water that is both hot and flowing
Pour about a quarter of a cup of extra virgin olive oil into the palm of your hand and massage your hands together to warm the oil.
The second step is to massage oil into your entire face in a gentle but forceful motion for around 30 seconds.
Makeup, grime, and other muck accumulated over the day are washed away in this process. In this case, you can skip using a makeup remover. Pay special attention to trouble areas and massage them thoroughly to assist release tension in the skin.
Third, use a hot, wet washcloth to your whole face.
These oils will go deeper into the skin since your pores will have opened up from the steam. Apply a cold washcloth to your face and leave it there until it cools.
To complete the process, step four is using a washcloth to remove any lingering oil.
It is not required to apply moisturiser with this procedure because the oil itself serves as a moisturiser. A few drops of the oil can be used as a moisturiser whenever you feel your skin getting dry or tight.
Do steps 1-4 again (Optional)
It’s fine to do it again if you want an even more thorough cleaning. Two washes are recommended if your skin has gone through a lot that day.
HINTS TO TRY:
The Olivespa Lavender Body Oil that we love so much also works well as a face cleanser. It’s the perfect way to unwind before bed, since lavender relaxes and soothes skin.
If your skin is prone to breakouts, try adding a single drop of tea tree oil to your routine. Tea tree oil is rich in antimicrobial terpenoids and has been shown to reduce acne.
Put a few drops of anti-inflammatory sweet almond oil or healing castor oil in with your extra virgin olive oil (fights acne-causing bacteria).
My wife stays up late to read everything you got for the day! And she is very pretty and healthy, so thanks a lot!
You are welcome! Stay tuned!
